Hello,

Thank you for visiting the Wild and Free web site. Wild and Free is my life's project and I run it with a brilliant team of local tour guides and office support staff.

I was born in Brazil, have travelled all my life and am a nature lover and artist. I have been involved in ecotourism since 1988 and have worked in nature and with all kinds of animals in many countries. For 8 years I ran an Outdoor Adventure centre where I qualified as a white-water and sea-kayak instructor. I first visited Egypt and the Bedouins of Sinai in 1979 and have been swimming with wild dolphins there since 1994. In 1995 with International Dolphin Watch, we established the first dolphin watching boat service in Crete with local fishermen who used to shoot dolphins but now make a living from ecotourism and dolphin protection. I am involved in the preservation, domestication and development of the middle eastern wild dog, and am interested in pariah and wild dogs around the world.

I consider it a privilege to spend time with animals and an honour to share the experience with others. My commitment with Wild and Free is to provide the opportunity for people to simply be in nature, by spending time in remote places to share an intimate moment with a wild and free creature. This experience is often deeply spiritual and healing. It is my pleasure to see dreams come true and lives change, every day. On many tours I am personally involved as a tour guide. On others, we have trusty local people who are more familiar with the locality and culture of the area than myself. In all cases, they speak English and are experienced in guiding. We always employ locals and use small locally run accommodations and transport services. All the animals we visit are truly wild and free and not trained or coerced in any way.

Tracy Baskerville runs the Wild and Free office from her home. She is an excellent administrator and happy to help you with any enquiries you may have regarding your holiday with us. Her years of experience ensure that your booking will run smoothly and your holiday will be the best it can possibly be.

It was Tracy's love of nature and dolphins that brought her to work with Wild and Free, and she loves nothing more than helping our guests to have the holiday of their dreams.
